Since the students are with us for only 2 years, and some continue in Carmel College, they join the Carmel College Alumni. In fact we had started in 2008 but had to discontinue due to lack of enthusiasm from students.
Activities conducted by the committees:
The PTA at Carmel HSS has been very effectively strengthening the relationship between parents, teachers and the school keeping the best interests of the students as priority.
They have helped to upgrade the school by generously permitting the purchase of LCD projectors, CCTV cameras and computers.
To boost the students and teachers, the PTA has felicitated toppers at the board and teacher (both teaching and non-teaching) jubilarians.
Discipline being sort of the backbone of life, the Discipline Committee comprising of students and teachers at our school helps students learn valuable lessons in punctuality, neatness, self restraint,
respect for rules and regulations in a gentle and fair manner.
The Students' Council provides students with opportunities to be good leaders by exposing them to a variety of activities and duties.
The school has also been very diligently encouraging the care of our earth and its environment. The Eco Club regularly engages students in the segregation of waste and in keeping the campus clean and green.
The Grievance Committee in the school addresses difficulties faced by all and sorts them out adopting a sensitive, just and open minded approach.
We have a Sexual Harassment Committee to look into grievances. However, there have been no such issues.
The Managing Committee of the school has been extending its support and inputs and helping in the school's smooth functioning.
The NSS and the Red Cross have been inculcating the spirit of service in the students through a variety of activities like camps, first aid workshops, competitions and talks.
The Consumer Club has been creating an awareness in students about their run rights and duties as consumers. Students are being enriched through talks, demonstrations and practical training in traffic management, weights and measures, LPG use, etc.
The smooth functioning of the school is also facilitated by the schools managing committee.
